All-New Plug-in Hybrid Rogue Coming Soon

The 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is making waves as Nissan’s first plug-in hybrid in Canada. It’s built with today’s families in mind, offering up to 61 km of all-electric range for those daily trips around town. Plus, with its hybrid powertrain, you can cruise up to 687 km, blending the ease of electric with the reliability of gas.

"The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is an important step in Nissan's electrification roadmap. It delivers the convenience of electric-type driving for everyday commutes while maintaining the long-range driving benefits of a gasoline engine. This dual capability reflects Nissan's commitment to meeting customers' needs to enjoy the upside of having both an EV and a traditional SUV in a single vehicle which will prepare our customers for a more fully electrified future," said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product officer, Nissan Americas. "Introducing our first plug-in hybrid in Canada and the U.S. reinforces our business strategy to revitalize the product portfolio and expand market coverage."

The all-new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is rolling out in a super decked-out Platinum grade and will hit Nissan dealerships in early 2026.

Nissan’s Plug-in Hybrid: Get the Best of Both Worlds

Meet the 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid, your new road buddy. This ride’s got not one, but two electric motors, a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a 2.4-litre gas engine all working together. It’s like a dream team that effortlessly mixes the power from the motors and engine to give you just the right amount of oomph whenever you need it. You can cruise around town in all-electric mode for those chill, eco-friendly trips, and when you’re ready for a bigger adventure, switch to gas-hybrid mode to keep the journey going.

You can fully charge the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid’s battery in just 7.5 hours using a Level 2 home charger. It’s expected to deliver fuel economy estimates of 3.6 Le/100 km, with a sweet 61 km of all-electric driving range and a total range of 687 km.

You can choose between EV, Save, or Charge modes to juggle between battery power and the gas engine, depending on what you need at the moment. Plus, you’ve got two levels of regenerative braking. Just shift from D to B or turn on the e-Step one-pedal driving feature to make it happen.

You can choose from seven different drive modes to get the best power and AWD torque distribution for whatever you’re tackling: Normal, Power, Eco, Tarmac, Gravel, Snow, and Mud.

Total system output is 248 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, helping enable quicker acceleration than the standard Rogue. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard on Rogue Plug-in Hybrid.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 Comes Standard

The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is all about keeping you and your crew chill with its 11 standard airbags and a ton of safety and driver assistance goodies. Every Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is loaded with Nissan Safety Shield® 360 tech. So, you've got Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, and a bunch more awesome features to keep you safe on the road.

The Intelligent Around View® Monitor gives you a full 360-degree view around your ride, making parking and low-speed moves super easy. Plus, it’s got this nifty Moving Object Detection feature to boost your confidence even more.

Technology Designed To Be Intuitive

The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is packed with awesome connectivity tech. It kicks off with a cool 9-inch touchscreen that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay® and wired Android Auto™. Plus, there’s a customizable 12.3-inch driver display and a 10-inch head-up display, all standard. And for music lovers, it features a Bose® nine-speaker premium audio system that makes every playlist sound amazing.

Keeping your gadgets juiced up is super easy with a regular wireless phone charger, plus two USB ports up front (one USB-A and one USB-C) and two in the back (again, one USB-A and one USB-C). If you go for the Platinum grade, you also get a couple of 120-volt, 1,500-watt power outlets—one in the trunk and one for the back seats. These are perfect for running small appliances, making them awesome for camping trips or tailgating parties.

Impressive Flexibility Thanks To Three Row Seating

The 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is all about making life easier for hobby lovers, road trippers, and families. It’s got three rows of seats, fitting up to seven people, and the second row is super flexible—it slides, reclines, and folds forward so you can easily get to the third row. Plus, the second row has pull-up sunshades on the rear doors and a tri-zone automatic climate control system to keep everyone comfy. And don’t worry about where to stash your stuff—there are big pockets for phones, tablets, and other gadgets.

The cargo space is super versatile, letting you stash stuff up to 80 inches long horizontally behind the front seats. If you’ve got a sunroof, you get 362 litres of space behind the third row. Drop that third row, and it jumps to 872 litres. Lower the second row, and you’re looking at a whopping 1,832 litres. The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid’s wide cargo area is perfect for fitting four golf bags when the third row is down, and its tall interior can easily handle a mountain bike.

A motion-activated power liftgate comes standard, which is pretty cool. Plus, the rear doors swing open to a nice 70-degree angle, making it super easy for passengers to hop in and out, or for you to load up child seats or any other stuff you need to carry.
